Frequently Asked Questions

About Eyes for Eternity

What is Eyes for Eternity?

A knowledge curator built on verse-by-verse Bible teaching. We take the verse-by-verse studies of Verse By Verse Ministry International (VBVMI), organise them by theme and book, and produce sermons, theses, expositions, songs and service plans from that material.

Where does the teaching come from?

Sermon study content is sourced from VBVMI (versebyverseministry.org) and used by permission. The author's interpretations and conclusions do not necessarily represent the views of VBVMI, its Directors or staff.

What is a 'thesis'?

A thesis is a full chaptered study built from every lesson that touches a tracked theme (for example 'The Antichrist'), sequenced by the timeline of when Scripture was written. It is written to a scholarly standard with footnotes and a bibliography.

What is a 'pamphlet'?

A short, single-section outreach booklet on a theme — a condensed, readable version of the same material for quick distribution.

What is an 'exposition' book?

A reader-friendly book written as a flowing explanation (not an academic thesis) of a theme, with Bible quotes in parentheses, chapters and page numbers. You can read it on the page, download a free PDF, or — once published — buy a printed copy via Amazon or Booksby.

Why do you ask for my email to read a book?

Your email lets us remember where you left off (your bookmark) and let you know when new books are ready. You can read with just an email, or create a free account later to keep your library and bookmarks across devices.

Is there a cost?

The studies, expositions and PDF downloads are free. Donations are welcome and help keep the ministry running. Printed books, where available, are sold at the publisher's price.

Can I suggest a topic?

Yes. At the Theme Index on the Explore page you can suggest a theme you'd like explored. Suggested themes may be turned into a book, pamphlet or thesis as the material grows.

What is Sing Easy?

Sing Easy is a dedicated page of simple congregational versions of the worship songs. Each one is kept to 2–4 chords, arranged for piano and guitar only, in a singable mid-vocal range, with no trills, choirs or echoes — so a whole congregation can follow easily. The full versions (with all song types) remain on the Songs page.

Worship at Home (Email Worship Service)

What is the Email Worship Service?

It is a weekly emailed PDF version of a church's order of service, branded with the church's logo, welcome message and offering details, sent to everyone who has signed up. You build and send it from the Email Worship Service page, which is linked from the Order of Service page.

How do I sign up to receive it?

Open the Email Worship Service page, fill in your name and email, and tap 'Sign me up'. If your church has its own setup, use its sign-up page (the link your church gave you); otherwise you join the default list.

Can my church get its own setup?

Yes. On the Email Worship Service page, tap 'Request your own church's Worship at Home setup' and fill in your church's details. The platform admin reviews each request. Once approved, you are invited as your church's admin with your own branded sign-up page, subscriber list and private service space — at no cost.

Where is the 'Request your own setup' button?

It sits on the Email Worship Service page, just under the sign-up form and above the church management tools. It only appears if you are not already an approved church admin, and it is hidden when you are viewing a specific church's sign-up page (a link with ?church=...). Tap it to expand the request form.

What does 'Save to website' do, and who can use it?

On the Order of Service page, 'Save to website' stores the order of service to your church's own private space on the site, so only your church's admins can see and edit it. It is available to the platform admin and to approved church admins. A saved order is tagged to your church automatically.

What happens if I am not a church admin and I try to save?

The 'Save to website' button is hidden and replaced with a short message — you cannot save to the site. You can still use 'Save to device' to keep a local copy on your computer, or request your own church setup to gain save access.

If I edit the e-service sermon block, does it change the original order of service?

No. The e-service sections are a separate copy stored on the order. Editing them only changes the emailed PDF — your original Order of Service is untouched. Use 'Sync from order' to pull a fresh copy from the original when you want to start over.

Can I preview the PDF before sending?

Yes. On the Email Worship Service page, tap 'Preview PDF' to open the styled PDF in a new tab exactly as subscribers will receive it, before you send. The on-page preview panel also shows a live text layout as you edit.
